Decolonial equally has its way in which is entails hegemonial anthropocentrism<\/strong><\/p>\n

I just heard a bascially very typically animal objectifying and biologistically speciesist phrase in the context of a decolonial vegan project, namely the Aotearoa Liberation League > https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=fRpWq-KbX6E<\/a>\u00a0[accessed 16.08.23]<\/p>\n

\u201eIs veganism just about the animals or is it part of a broader movement for peace and nonviolence\u201c.<\/p>\n

This indicates yet and again to me that in the decolonial thread of vegan human rights activism and prespectivities we do have a normalization that for no obvious reason secondarizes animals and animality as a subcategory to the idea of an all encompassing \u201epeace\u201c and notion of \u201enonviolence\u201c.<\/p>\n

This big realm is shaped thus, so it seems, by both: either human destructiveness which then again must be faced by human reason and constructiveness.<\/p>\n

The idea that animality is passive in shaping things is to me already a\u00a0 pre-colonial occurence that cannot be plausibly seperated from Western, Eurocentric notions of a philosophically hegemonial anthropocentrism. And of course the contorted positions in which human place themselves toward animality has not vanished in colonial contexts \u2026 .<\/p>\n

What is it that would make the phrase \u201eIs veganism just about humans or is it part of a broader movement for peace and nonviolence\u201c assumably weird for people, where this way of phrasing it would be a logical possibility to see things too?<\/p>\n

Exactly: the nonhuman contributions and the field and planes of history and own philosophies that animals and animality and nonhumanity pro-actively form are being ignored and not even perceived or cosidered as a new or old look onto Nonhuman others, in such a standardized decolonial way of thinking.<\/p>\n

This issue opens up a lot of questions indeed, and even in times of intrahuman conflict and working on intrahuman history, vegans should be able to handle critique about their anthropogenic tendencies too.<\/p>\n

Ich habe gerade einen im Grunde sehr typisch tierobjektifizierenden und biologistisch-speziesistischen Satz im Zusammenhang mit einem dekolonialen veganen Projekt geh\u00f6rt, n\u00e4mlich von der Aotearoa Liberation League in einem ihrer Info-Videos > https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=fRpWq-KbX6E<\/a>\u00a0[Zugriff 21.08.23]<\/p>\n

“Geht es beim Veganismus nur um die Tiere oder ist er Teil einer breiteren Bewegung f\u00fcr Frieden und Gewaltlosigkeit?”<\/p>\n

Dies zeigt mir leider einmal wieder, dass es im dekolonialen Sektor des veganen Menschenrechtsaktivismus und veganer Perspektiven eine Normalisierung gibt, die ohne einen ersichtlichen oder wirklich nachvollziehbaren Grund Tiere und Tierlichkeit als Unterkategorie der Idee eines allumfassenden “Friedens” und des Begriffs der “Gewaltlosigkeit” unterordnet.<\/p>\n

Dieser gro\u00dfe Bereich – Frieden und Gewaltlosigkeit – ist also, so scheint es, von beidem gepr\u00e4gt: entweder von menschlicher Destruktivit\u00e4t, der dann wiederum menschliche Vernunft und Konstruktivit\u00e4t gegen\u00fcberstehen.<\/p>\n

Die Vorstellung, dass die Tierwelt beinahe passiv gestaltet, ist f\u00fcr mich bereits eine vorkoloniale Erscheinung, die sich nicht in ganz klarer Weise von westlichen, eurozentrischen Vorstellungen eines philosophisch hegemonialen Anthropozentrismus trennen l\u00e4sst. Und nat\u00fcrlich sind die verzerrten Positionen, in die sich der Mensch gegen\u00fcber Tierlichkeit begibt, in kolonialen Kontexten nicht verschwunden … .<\/p>\n

Was ist es, das den Satz “Geht es beim Veganismus nur um Menschen oder ist er Teil einer breiteren Bewegung f\u00fcr Frieden und Gewaltlosigkeit?” f\u00fcr Menschen vermutlich seltsam macht, wo diese Art der Formulierung doch eine logische M\u00f6glichkeit w\u00e4re, die Dinge ebenso betrachten zu k\u00f6nnen?<\/p>\n

Genau: die nichtmenschlichen Beitr\u00e4ge, die Bereiche und die Ebenen der Geschichte und der eigenen Philosophien, die Tiere, Tierlichkeit und Nichtmenschen pro-aktiv gestalten, werden im Prinzip ignoriert und nicht einmal als neuer oder alter Blick auf die nichtmenschlichen Anderen wahrgenommen oder mitgedacht, in manchen inzwischen standardisiert erscheinenden dekolonialen Denkweisen.<\/p>\n

Dieses Thema wirft in der Tat viele Fragen auf, und selbst in Zeiten innermenschlicher Konflikte und der Arbeit an der innermenschlichen Geschichte, sollten VeganerInnen in der Lage sein, selbst auch mit Kritik an ihren anthropogenen Tendenzen umgehen zu k\u00f6nnen.<\/p>\n
