For Mah-Nu

FOR MAH-NU

Unfamiliar,
from a land of sun,
I’ve brought you,
into my grey house,
under a grey sky,
of which the sun
you would call “just a lamp”.

To a land of sun
you have returned,
where a sun
is not a lamp,
and where the sky is blue.
Your house is white,
winterless in the persistently green garden.

Do you become unknown to me
again?
